Conference Day Schedule & Featured Activities
SRLN "Newbie" Orientation - New this year, we offered an early morning coffee hour (7:30 - 8:30) that provided first time attendees a brief history of the SRLN, survey of resources and opportunities for involvement, and identified leaders from the many sectors that come together in this network to develop an integrated access to justice ecosystem.

Keynote Speaker Judge Kevin Burke
Judge Burke, a Minneapolis trial judge since 1984, is one of the most recognized leaders within the American judiciary, and one of the founding participants of Procedural Fairness for Judges and Courts. He served several terms as chief judge of the Hennepin County (Minn.) District Court, a 62-judge court, where he instituted social-science studies examining—and reforms improving—procedural fairness. Burke coauthored the American Judges Association's white paper on procedural fairness in 2007. Since then, he and his white paper coauthor, Kansas judge Steve Leben, have presented on procedural fairness to more than 2,000 state and federal judges. Read more about Judge Burke and his leadership.

Conference Design
Our planning committee, with input from SRLN members from all around the country, worked tirelessly to deliver an event rich in both content and networking opportunities. They designed an event with ample time to connect with other attendees before, during and after the conference. Please join us in thanking our Conference Coordinators, Janine Liebert and Daniel Sandoval, as well as the dedicated members of the planning committee who worked to make this year's event a success.
