Evaluation: Report on the Self-Help Centers of the 4th Judicial District Court of the State of Minnesota (Minnesota 2004)

This report is an evaluation of the Self Help Programs of the Fourth Judicial District Court of the State of Minnesota, located in Hennepin County. The Hennepin County District Court Self Help Centers and Program provide a mature and effective service to the courts and litigants of the County, and a useful model to the whole country. This evaluation was based on on-site observations and stakeholder interviews conducted by the authors, as well court-staff-conducted surveys of litigants, judges, court staff, and Self Help Center users; it was intended both to provide concrete feedback and suggestions to the Hennepin County District Court, and to form part of a larger general picture of pro se litigants and pro se innovation throughout the country.
